Hair Transplantation with TDF (Two Days Fue) Method
TDF (Two Days Fue) method is the current technology used in hair transplantation. In this method, men with more hair span are transplanted two days in a row, lasting two sessions. As with other techniques, there is no need to wait 6-8 months between procedures. It is successfully applied in cases where the front and back areas of the hair, called “Demirel Head”, are completely open. It is an extremely effective method for people who cannot find the opportunity to have a hair transplant due to their busy work life and who prefer to return to business life in a short time after hair transplant.
How is hair transplantation performed with the TDF method?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. During hair transplantation, the donor area is divided into two as right and left. The hair strands in the right area are taken and transferred to the first half of the balding area. For the remaining open space, channels are opened where the hair will be placed. Thus, half of the transactions are completed on the first day. On the second day, hair follicles are taken from the left area, which is the other side of the donor area. It is placed in the channels opened the day before.
In hair transplantation, approximately 4,200-4,300 roots are added in one day. Considering that a root contains an average of 2.7 strands, 10,000-11,000 strands of hair are planted per day. In cases where the front, back and middle hair area of the person is completely open like the palm of the hand, it is not possible to reach the desired density with a one-day transplant. Patients with this type of hair sparseness regain their hair completely at the end of a two-year planting period. With the TDF method, 2.500-3,000 roots are taken on the first day and transferred to the anterior region. On the second day, roots are collected from the left donor site and added to the apex. Thus, it is possible to plant 6,000-6,500 roots at the end of two days in total. In this way, hair transplantation is performed on the entire front, middle and back hair area of the patient within a two-day period.
Can TDF be applied to all hair types?
TDF is a planting method that is successfully applied in hair types where the front, back and middle hair areas are completely open like palms.
What is the healing process like with TDF?
It is no different from hair transplantation performed in one session. Likewise, improvement is seen. During the operation, ACell + treatment is applied to the area to be transplanted. With this technique, the healing process is shortened. A scarless and rapid recovery is seen. New hair follicles will grow stronger.
How long does the treatment take to be successful?
In frontal transplants, 65-70% of the transplanted hair grows in an average of 6-8 months. The last point of planting in the anterior region is seen one year later. Since more nutrition is provided by the capillaries in the apex area, the growth is a little slower here. At the end of 8 to 10 months in this region, the treatment achieves full success.
